Editorial policy
Clear Policy Journal aims to make policy easier to understand without making it sound simpler than it is. We explain our reasoning, distinguish fact from interpretation and revise the record when needed.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable sources before publication, explain the scope of claims and avoid implying certainty where the subject is contested or incomplete. Where an article relies on a definition, framework or example, we make its role clear. We do not invent evidence, quotations or expertise, and we do not treat a proposal's stated aim as proof of its results.
Independence
Editorial decisions, including topic choice and conclusions, are made for the publication's readers. A partnership does not guarantee coverage or editorial approval, and a contribution or placement cannot determine the conclusions in an editorial article. We disclose relevant interests when they could affect how readers understand a piece.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the passage and the concern. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and make the nature of a meaningful correction clear to readers. We may also clarify wording when it could lead to a mistaken reading.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled near the relevant content; partner links and placements are identified so readers can distinguish them from editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated. When an illustration is AI-generated, we label it as such, and we do not present it as documentary evidence.
