Write for us
Clear Policy Journal considers original contributions that help general readers understand how public policy is framed, designed or put into practice. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a full draft without an invitation.
What we welcome
We welcome concise explainers, comparisons of policy tools, accounts of how an idea becomes an implemented measure, and pieces that clarify a commonly confused term. A strong contribution has one central question, stays within a clear scope and gives readers a useful way to think about the subject without telling them what political position to adopt.
What to include in a pitch
Describe the proposed subject, the main point, why it suits Clear Policy Journal and what makes your approach distinct. Include a short outline, the intended reader and any relevant sources or potential conflicts of interest. Keep examples general unless their context can be explained accurately and responsibly.
Scope and standards
We do not seek promotional copy, unsupported claims, disguised advocacy or professional legal, medical or financial advice. Contributors should be able to explain the basis for factual claims and distinguish evidence from interpretation. We may edit accepted work for clarity, length and fit, with the substance kept clear to the contributor.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option, then say that your message is a contribution pitch. Please send a proposal rather than a complete article unless we have asked for a draft. A pitch is not an acceptance, and we will consider it for editorial fit.
